MethodologyElectric power consumption per capita measures net electricity consumption divided by midyear population. World Bank metadata describes production adjusted for power plants' own use, transmission, distribution and transformation losses, and electricity trade. This is not electricity price, gross electricity generation, total energy consumption or renewable electricity share. IEA definitions and coverage can change, creating breaks in series; the measure does not describe supply reliability or household consumption alone. Latest valid non-null observation per economy across the complete available series. Observation years may differ; selection does not enforce a common year. No missing values are imputed and no age cutoff is applied. Regional, income and other World Bank aggregates are excluded using the official economy classification.
